STUCK PRIVATE MESSAGES

This is normal. 

• PMs will remain in your Outbox until such time as the user you are sending to logs into the site.
• Once they have logged in it will appear in your Sent Items.
• The Recipient will get an email in the mean time to let them know a message is waiting. 
• If you click on the users name who you are messaging in your outbox you can see when they last logged in on their profile (bottom right hand corner).

Really "outbox" should just be called "unread" as most likely people will read the PM after logging in but this is baked into the software we use and it is a baffling design choice but something we have to live with for now.

Some people never return to the site after selling tickets to an event and some never update their listings to say they are sold. If your message is in the Outbox for a while it is likely the person has moved on. It would be a good idea to try contact someone else in the meantime if that is an option. You can go into your Outbox and delete or edit messages if required.
