Re: Best concert?
Let's See.....Best Concert ever. That's a tough one!
Well it's probably a toss up between Led Zeppelin at the Boston Tea Party (about 2000 capacity) in Jan. 1969
or The Doors at The Fillmore East NYC in March 1968. Jim Morrison leaped over John Densmore, the drummer at the
beginning of the first song, "When the Music's Over"
Other highlights for me were:
Bob Dylan at The Back bay Theater in Boston backed by the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 1966
Jimmi Hendricks at The Woodstock Festival Aug. 1969
Muddy Waters at Memorial Hall Burlington Vermont Summer 1984
The Rolling Stones at Manning Bowl Lynn Mass. Summer 1966
James Brown and the Famous Flames at Boston Garden Winter 1965
Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band at Meadowlands Arena NJ Aug. 1984
Miles Davis at The Spectrum Montreal Feb. 1990
Leonard Cohen at Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin June 2008
These probably seem a bit dated but they were some of the best for me.

Re: Best concert?
Did anyone ever see Kings of Leon in TBMC years back? I think they only played there once. Tiny venue packed to the rafters.
Good stuff.
Good stuff.
Re: Best concert?
Best for me, Radiohead in Marlay park '06, swiftly followed by Ocean colour scene, NYE in Belfast 2007.
Kings of Leon were great last december, but not as emotional as previous KOL gigs.

My first ever concert and it was out of this world! A true experience!
Has a bit of competition with U2 this year in Croker though!

Re: Best concert?
I had a great night at The Smashing Pumpkins gig in the RDS last year- I really thought they rocked the place- loved it!
Muse put on a great show too- their gig at the O2 2weeks ago was an amazing show....
But last night I went to see Morrissey and I am a huge fan so I was always gonna enjoy it, but wow- he was amazing!! I truly found him mesmerizing, he has such a great stage presence & his voice is better than ever!

best concert??
Slane 09 blew me away cuz Kasabian were amazing, Prodigy were crazy and then Oasis....well their just Oasis! It was brilliant and I'd even do the 5 hour walk back to the bus just to see it again!
Other highlights would be Jason Mraz in Hawaii at a little club (before he made it 'big')
Backstreet Boys this year (Don't judge me! It was a childhood thing and they were fairly amazing!)
Bon Jovi in Punchestown cuz their always fun
Velvet Revolver in the Point mainly because of Slash, the mans a genius!
and then the other 5 or 6 oasis gigs ive been to over the years

Re: Best concert?
well the best gig i was at in '09 was the specials.....hands down!
overall it'd have to be one of the kings gigs i've seen.either tbmc or the olympia.but the first time i saw them was class.small tent at witness '03..doubt there was many more than 100 there.
other memorable ones include ray manzarek in the old HQ(now the academy) and roger waters at Jones Beach NY but i'm probably leaving a few out.--time to check the old stubs.

Florence and the Machine on the 2nd of March 2012! It was amazing! I'm still in awe. It's going to take something huge to beat that! I want to re-live it over and over again!
Re: Best concert?
Lady Gaga. 'Nuff said.
Re: Best concert?
There have been so many: Judas Priest at Wacken last year really shocked and awed me - I had seen them before many times but to be that tight (not just the trousers!) and loud after 37 years was a sight and sound to behold! Rammstein both here and when I saw them in Berlin in 2010 were absolutely amazing shows! Kiss at Graspop in 2007 was another (great here in the 02, aswell). Opeth here in Whelan's in 2003, Emperor at the Inferno festival in Norway in 2006 and two months later when a certain band razed Dublin to the ground playing a certain album from start to finish. 'Master Of Puppets' I believe is its name.

Slipknot-Rds- what a live show and spectacle.
Linkin Park and Q.O.T.S.A - Rds- superb by both bands.Grew out of linkin park at that stage but they were amazing live
Inme - cypress avenue - one of my favourite bands, saw them a few years ago and had pints with them. Can't believe they don't get the credit they deserve.

Madonna in Amsterdam Ziggo dome Rebel Heart Tour or Wembley or earls court for drowned world tour 2001 or confessions tour millennium stadium Cardiff .
Saw her the twice she played in Ireland but Irish people don’t seem to appreciate her quality . I mean she’s not the most successful touring artist of all time for nothing . No one comes close to her .
