I'm looking for 4 tickets for this gig (I know, i'm chancing my arm)
i sat on the ticketmaster website for over an hour this morning and on the phone trying to get any tickets and couldn't.....and somehow soundcellar was sold out of them yesterday....the day BEFORE they went on sale.....intriguing.

Will be in Dublin for 1 night only on holidayfrom Melbourne, Australia and Faith No More happens to be my all time fave band. Would dearly love a ticket to this show. If anyone could help i would be forever grateful

According to posts on boards.ie people were able to buy them in Soundcellar this morning.

Although at this stage they're all obviously gone.

I went into them yesterday and they were sold out of all their prebooking and they didn't know if they would be able to get anymore at all at that stage. I just think it's unfair that all the tickets through ticketmaster seem to have been sold before they actually went on sale. Grr.

But if anyone has ANY tickets at all going I'm more than willing to give them a good home:)

They didnt go on sale a day before in Sound Cellar. Sound Cellar know they are going to get X amount of tickets in the morning preprinted from ticketmaster so as a service to people who support the shop they will take prebookings for them. They've to be collected the next day or they go on general sale again. For big gigs like this they may not take bookings from people they don't know or recognise (ie people who don't actually buy records from them all the time) so it is possible they did have tickets unaccounted for but they were holding them for preferred customers... or maybe they did have them all prebooked and got more tickets than they expected.

Unrelated to the above but just figured I better remind people about this: As always anyone even hinting they are looking to purchase for above face value will be banned instantly.

I'm not really seeing why people would do this as there are sites where you can pay "serious bucks" for these tickets if you really must and it won't take you too long to find them in google but this is not one of them.

HEllo alll. Old School FMN fan. Support to GnR at slane, Dalymount and the Point. I was at their last gig in San Fran in 97 and never thought I would see the day when they got back together, and what happened this morning!!!!! sould out beofe they went on sale.

Swaps of equal value with the person with the lower value ticket putting up the rest of the money are allowed. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that this is what you are offering (as you appear to be only offering someone a look at your slane ticket???) but any further swap offers for FNM tickets must make this clear. Hard stance on this people. If some kind soul wants to sell their ticket at face value it can not be going to someone offering more than others as this is totally against the sites purpose. Keep in mind there is no queue system either. It is sellers discretion using the basis of ease of contact who they deal with but if I find anyone attempting to create a bidding war I will ban them.

Just to clarify, I was just offering a look at the Slane ticket, not offering it for any monetary value. You can't put a value on memorabilia like that (well, Ebay can but that's another story...). Just a little gallows humour in the face of an (increasingly) impossible situation was my only intent.
